Kathie Sharkey Kinesiology Services
Kathie is the Director of Education for Womens Fitness Clubs of Canada, where she is primarily responsible for the creation and teaching of courses and workshops to their personal trainers and kinesiologists.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from York University. Kathie has more than 15 years of experience working as a Kinesiologist.
She has been helping people that have low back, neck, shoulder, knee injuries, and other joint injuries to recover from these injuries and lead an active lifestyle.
She also has experience working with people that have been in motor vehicle accidents and work related accidents, to help them return to their pre-accident levels.
Kathie works with people who have MS, Parkinson's, arthritis, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, and other chronic pain conditions, to assist them in developing an exercise program that is safe and appropriate for their condition.
Courses and Workshops
Throughout the year, Kathie offers a variety of courses and workshop that are geared to the fitness and health professional.
Whether you work in a gym, clinic, or in private homes, Kathie's courses will educate you to help you in being able to work with clients safely and allow you to feel confident in working with special conditions.
The courses cover a variety of topics that will enable you to help clients with basic rehab. Prerequisite to take level 1 course is to be certified personal trainer, kinesiologist, or a student studying in the fitness field.
Workshops are half day learning opportunities about a variety of topics that are interesting to personal trainers and kinesiologists. Certificates of completion are issued. Workshops are open to certified personal trainers and kinesiologists.
