A 3 Part Webinar Series on: Conducting a Claims File Review; Medico-Legal Report Writing, and Giving Expert Testimony
This three part, one-hour webinar series, is designed for Kinesiologists who are interested in improving their knowledge and skills in: conducting a claims file review; medico-legal report writing; and giving expert court testimony for claimants who have been injured in a motor vehicle accident (MVA) and who are claiming compensation from an insurance-based system. While the focus is on MVA claimants, this series will also be helpful to Kinesiologists who work in other compensation systems such as WSIB.
Part 1 - February 21, 2017:
How to Conduct A Bodily Injury Claims File Review will provide you with specific content analysis techniques to clearly analyse and efficiently collect the relevant data on the key issues that may be affecting the claims management process, and which in turn, may be preventing a claimant from returning to essential activities of daily living, such as work.
Part 2 - February 28, 2017:
How to Prepare Medico-Legal Reports builds on the information provided in the first session. It will provide you with techniques and strategies to prepare a thorough and objective report about a claimant’s functional limitations in such areas as their home, vocational pursuits, or future care and related costs.
Part 3 - March 7, 2017:
How to Prepare for Expert Testimony is the final building block in this webinar series. Lee will share the experience she has gained as an expert witness in court to include techniques in how to prepare for and present your evidence-based material to a judicial tribunal in a professional manner.
