Cargill has an opportunity available for a Safety Coordinator at the Beef Facility in Guelph, ON. The ideal candidate will be reporting to the Environmental Health and Safety Manager. You will be an integral part of the EHS team and will provide support for the development, implementation and hands-on support of our Health and Safety Programs with Cargill Management System. As the Safety coordinator, you will perform tasks and complete projects to support continuous improvement for the prevention and reduction of workplace injuries and illness in order to achieve a proactive safety environment. Also, you will work with all stakeholders to ensure they are involved in this process and understand the requirements and support operations on the production floor.
Successful candidate will be responsible for corrective and preventative actions, Hazard identification, Compete ergonomic assessments and projects throughout the facility as well as injury stat analysis and prioritization.
Ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of ergonomics and traditional Health and Safety initiatives with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work well independently or as a group. Must have Effective communication skills (written and verbal) demonstrating the ability to interact with multiple levels of the organization and with outside agencies.
